The Philippines consists of 7,107 islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is the world’s 12th most populous country having about 92 million people. The country is actually composed of three main lands: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Each major island consists of small islands that are further composed of smaller islets.

The country has Filipino or Tagalog as its official language. The Philippines is also one among the top countries with the largest English speaking population. English is the second language practiced by the Filipinos with it being the medium of instruction in schools and universities. Apart from these main languages, there are other eight considered as major dialects in the country. Truth About Money

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

By: Ataur Rehmaan

When a famous bank robber was asked, why did you rob the bank? His answer was well there is where the money is. He was wrong on several points.

- No1. Banks are not the source of money

- No2. You must attain your money in an honest way. By the way, let me quickly share one more myth. Making money is not = Honesty x Hard Working,

The astonishing Truth # 1 is: Make money fast = (Honesty x Hard Working)^ strategy

I could strongly disagree with Thomas Jefferson, third president on US remark “I have never seen men’s honesty to increase their riches”. Mr. Jefferson mostly mentioned the part of people who takes the back alleys and shortcuts. However, I could oppose him saying “Mr. Jefferson, you should have used seldom, rather than never”. Being honest, the game just becomes slightly difficult, but it’s quite doable still. To me honesty is the other name of living. I have done, and I have seen lots of people making money from home and accumulating fortune honestly.

Theory of Constraints Implementation Gets Dramatic Results in Just 90 Days

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

By: Mark Woeppel

We Have a Problem!

There was no doubt that improvements were needed at Brown Fintube. No systematic method of planning or scheduling was in place and jobs were accepted without regard to capacity or loading. Consequently, we were not able to accurately predict shipment dates for contracts and never knew when a job was going to be late until it was late. Our on-time delivery performance to meet original promise dates was dismal (in the low 40% range). Designs and drawings were too often late getting to the shop because we were unable to provide Mechanical Engineering and Drafting with real need dates. There was confusion on the shop floor about how to prioritize jobs. In order to compensate for problems and still attempt to meet ship dates, overtime and intense expediting was necessary. Each month began from scratch. By the end of the month, the floor was clean and there was no new work in progress.

Because we couldn’t accurately anticipate or account for variation in the process, we were unable to correctly predict revenue or forecast late shipment of jobs for any current month. We were able to meet customer needs, but only through last minute, heroic efforts by the organization. We realized that, like so many long-time manufacturers, our order fulfillment process was out of sync. In order to bring our system under control, planning and execution needed improvement. The operations group proposed implementation of a formal scheduling system using drum-buffer-rope (DBR), a Theory of Constraints (ToC) solution.

Credit Cards or Travellers Cheques – What is the best to use whilst travelling

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

By: Rosie Thomsen

The knowledge that you have easy access to money while you are travelling is important. The two most frequently used ways of ensuring financial security while travelling are utilising traveller’s cheques or a credit card. Both alternatives are fairly simple to acquire.
Your nearest post office will sell you travellers cheques at the current exchange rate. If a Credit Card is the alternative you desire, you can apply easily online or via your nearest Bank branch; you may already have an appropriate credit card.

While overseas, you can use credit cards or travellers cheques rather than bringing all of your money around as cash. If you lost your wallet filled with cash while overseas, there would be no way of getting it back; you’d be left in the undesirable position of being stranded without money. However, both traveller’s cheques and credit cards have insurance benefits, so that if your wallet is misplaced or stolen, you can usually get your money back.
