Sweet And Spicy Mexican Style Desserts

By: Christine Szalay-Kudra

You will enjoy the rich and colorful cuisine of Mexico. Their desserts are as exceptional as their entrees. As Mexican food gains recognition, their desserts should be highlighted more frequently. Mexican cuisine has such a myriad of temptations that it is amazing the desserts have not gained more acclaim.

Many of the most popular desserts in Mexico are made of ice cream, puddings, or custards. Probably the best known custard in Mexico is the flan. This is a thick custard covered in a rich caramel sauce. Usually they are vanilla flavored, but they can also come in coconut, lime and other delicious varieties. By: Grupo La Parrilla

The traditional Mexican cuisine is a feast for locals and foreigners. A Mexican buffet is one of the options more appealing when organizing a casual celebration, where you can usually find chalupitas, sopes, empanadas, tacos, tostadas, with an infinite variation of ingredients such as ground beef, beef tongue, cheese, steak, chicken, pork, or fish.

When moving along to the main course, the list of choices would be as long as the size of the country itself, and so delicious that it would be difficult to choose between a piece of cabrito norteno, or a succulent piece of pibil pork from a Maya kitchen of the Yucatan and Quintana Roo, wrapped in banana leaf with vibrant color as the axiote gives beef and pork. So when a fine dining vegetarian restaurant opens in Chennai, the fare it has to offer, should be different. Influence is just that…

The interiors can be described as plush and swanky done in shades of beige, brown and slathered with gold. Spread over 5000 sq. feet it gives you a feeling of space as you enter. Flower filled ponds, dim lighting, unusual furnishing, attractive paintings all add to creating a magical aura.

Spices in Filipino Cuisine

By: Carlo Villamayor

It’s no secret that Filipino cuisine is one of the best in the world, but like any good food, it has to have its secrets.
