I have been taking pictures abroad for nearly thirty years and in the early days using a Russian made SLR I developed my own slides and prints. Digital photography has revolutionised the way pictures are taken and viewed and also added a new dimension and that is our ability to manipulate the picture after it has been taken. Taking pictures while you are on your holiday can provide a lasting memory for yourself, the opportunity to share your holiday experience with your friends. Working professionals work for the whole week and then on Saturday morning they know that the next day is a holiday, this sheer thought of a holiday enthralls us not the holiday itself. For working people Sundays are spent in shopping – to sustain themselves for the entire week, which is hardly fun. On Sundays we revisit the things we have done through the past week. This gives us a chance to be better individuals at the work place and probably also at home but that definitely ain’t funny. It’s just like some festival. When we have some festival to celebrate in the coming days we start counting the days and get filled with joy at the passing of every single day and as we draw near to the festival, but when the countdown finally ends, the day of the festival passes away at the wink of an eye and all we are left with is some memories and the reluctance to go back to work the next day.
