Look back on your life. Can you remember two or three times when you felt amazing? At a couple of points during your life there will have been times when it has felt incredible to be alive.

Think about it.

Now I’ll wager a guess that for each of those times, at least one of these facts was true.

You Are Never Too Old To Dream A New Dream

By: Albert Mensah

You are never too old to dream a new dream. Isn’t that a beautiful statement? Indeed, the thought of growing older is never appealing. Not only do we feel bad over the physical changes that take place, but with every passing year we look back and wonder what could have been. What could we have achieved if only we started getting serious about life when we were younger? What great things could we have done if only we had a good “start?”

How sad it must be to sit around and mope over lost time! However, what so many people do not understand is that age is just a number. Life is life and if you are alive then you have the potential to achieve anything you set your mind to. So let’s say an older person, a senior citizen perhaps, resents young people for their energy and their youthful bodies. Why? Isn’t it safe to assume that most young people take their youth for granted?

Ten Ways To Beat The Recession

By: Harbij

There are many lessons we can learn from the past recessions and its no secret that whilst many were losing everything around them, others were making a handsome profit. The majority of the people will comment on what they read, hear or see from many sources, such as television, newspapers, friends, work colleagues, radio and relatives and allow this to become their mantra.

Whilst a few will use their intelligence to think of ways that will drive them to prosperity, health and happiness. This article will look at ten different options that readers could adopt in order to handle the ‘worst recession’ since the ‘Great Depression’ of the 1930’s.

Motivating Employees: Motivating The Challenge-driven Employee

By: K. MacKillop

Most good leaders and employees are motivated internally through challenging themselves to improve their own skills, experience, and productivity. Internal motivation is very powerful when present, and can be easily quashed by micromanagement and ineffective delegation. The key to keeping challenge-motivated workers at their best is to develop your company culture to encourage autonomy and professional development across the board.

Building a challenge-motivating culture can be difficult for some entrepreneurs. The same self-assurance and drive to do things right that makes an entrepreneur successful can also make it difficult to trust employees to work on their own. But, if you plan to grow your business, you will have to rely on your staff to do things right on their own. Good employees will not only cover the tasks that you don’t have time for, but will also contribute their own knowledge and skills to drive the success of your venture.

Ways to Motivate Yourself: 5 Motivational Tips To Spark Your Enthusiasm

By: Jeremy Gislason

Day in and day out, you follow the same routine. You go to work, sign a few papers here and there, go for lunch, go for coffee, look at a few more papers and then go home.

A business cannot grow unless the people in it aren’t motivated enough. While you can’t help but feel a little defeated sometimes (business is slow, annual goals aren’t met, economic crisis is looming, etc.), you’ll also have to find ways to motivate yourself again. You’ll have to re-light that spark from within.

So how do you step up your game and take action? Read the motivational tips below to find out!

When Money Is Not Everything

By: Sam Raimi

One of the common misconceptions about employee motivation is that everything rests on how much one is getting as a salary. Most employers feel that giving numerous monetary incentives can automatically raise an employee’s drive.

Although money is the main driving force for every employee to work harder and do his or her job even better, there are still numerous things that an employer should consider when he or she is formulating the right motivation plan for employees.

One of the basic principles that most employers depend on when it comes to motivation is Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs. This basically states that, in order to keep a person motivated, you need to satisfy first the different levels of needs – physical safety & security, social safety & security, relationship & belongingness, esteem and self-actualization.

Getting Your Employees To Work

By: Ron Harper1

In a business environment, finding ways to motivate employees has become a major concern for managers. While it a big challenge for managers and business owners to hire good employees, it is an even bigger concern to keep them motivated once they have already been hired.

By definition, employee motivation is the level of commitment that employees apply to their job. Low employee motivation can lead to poor performance and, consequently, low productivity. And when your workers are no longer creative, productive, and already possess low morale, the company’s profitability is also on the line.
