1. Time Difference

Japan time zone as if set to GMT it is +9 hours. So it is 1 hour faster than most of the Asia countries.

2. Language

Japanese is still the main language that widely use in Japan public, private and government body. A lot of younger generation people do speak English but they are speaking in Japanese mixing English term with very strong Japanese pronunciation flavor, so it is very strange or sounds funny when you first time hearing this. About the Country

Belgium is situated in the west of Europe. The land here mostly comprises of flat coastal plains in the northeast, and southeast is occupied by the Ardennes Forest. Dutch, Flemish, French and German are the official languages of Belgium, with Dutch being the widely spoken followed by French. The weather here is pretty predictable. Months from April to September are the warmest. Otherwise the weather is pretty humid and skies are gray, that explains why umbrellas and raincoats are a part of the dressing. So, if the visit is planned for holidays during the rainy season, one must not forget to carry sufficient cover for maximum protection, as this is a coastal region. 7 Wonders of the World… You may not name all of them but probably you know that most of them were destroyed by earthquake, fire, or other causes since Herodotus formulated his list in mid 5th century BC. Today you may only see 2 monuments: the remains of the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus in Turkey and the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, the only one fully standing. Although Egypt has many to offer still thousands of tourists visit Egypt every year to see the Great Pyramid. In 2001 a corporation started an initiative to choose the New 7 Wonders of the World. New York is the most populous city in the United States and is the center of the New York metropolitan area. It is a leading metropolis with a powerful influence over global commerce, finance, media, culture, art, fashion, research, education and entertainment.

It has many nicknames including The Big Apple, The City That Never Sleeps, The Capital of the World (Caput Mundi), The Center of the Universe, NYC, Gotham, The Greatest City in The World, The Empire City, The City So Nice They Named It Twice, The City and The Concrete Jungle. These are all used interchangeably and its inhabitants are known as New Yorkers.

Tips for Travellers to New Zealand’s South Island

My first article covered our trip in the North Island. This article takes up the story where we travelled over to the South Island.

At our final destination in the North Island, the city lived up to its name ‘Windy Wellington’ & it was cold, so we gladly handed the car in & boarded the ferry for the South Island. (Rental vehicles are handed in before boarding the ferry and you pick up another on arrival in the South Island if you have booked ahead.)

Tip 1 – If you have a camera it is a good idea to take photos of various aspects of your rental vehicle to avoid any disputes later about damage caused during your rental. (more…)
